Forums Rules and Guidelines – R02

The rules and guidelines are appropriated for use with this forum for the game: Pocket Knights.  Please follow the rules and guidelines in order to provide the best experience for all users.

Article I.  Posting Etiquette
 
  A. Respect
         a. Please respect all members of the forum.
         b. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated.
   B. Language
         a. Posts made in both the forum and chatbox are to be in English.  Please feel free to use any other language in private                                                    messages or other forms of communication.
         b. Post need to be created in proper format, this means do not use all capitals in your text.  For examples, check any post or topic created by a Moderator.
         c. Insults, flaming, and personal attacks will not be tolerated.  This includes spamming a thread in an aggressive manner.
         d. Please use language appropriate for discussion.  Because this is a game, there will be players and forum members who are young.  While swearing is not completely banned, it is heavily frowned upon.
   C. Content
         a. Do not post inappropriate material.  Because everyone has a different opinion on what is appropriate and what is not, it has been determined that content that is not safe for work (NSFW) or not safe for children is not allowed.
   D. Threads
         a. Please check to see if your topic has been covered previously in another thread.  Making a thread with a topic that has been covered previously is considered spam and will be removed.
         b. Please keep all threads in their appropriate locations.
   E. Spam
        a. The definition of spam is irrelevant or advertising posts.
         b. Any posts considered spam will be removed without warning.
         c. If you would like to promote something please contact Clusterone or another moderator to ask for permission first.  This allows a filter for both content and to check if you are a bot.
   F. Red Text
         a. Please refrain from using red text.  That color is preferable to moderators and admins when taking care of problems.

Article II.  Member Relations
   A. Respect
         a. Please respect all members of the forum.
         b. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated.
   B. Fighting
         a. If you have a problem with another player, do not make it public.
         b. Arguments and Fighting in public areas of the site will result in a warning and if serious enough consideration for a ban.
   C. Harassment
         a. Harassment is defined as the act of systematic and/or continued unwanted and annoying actions of one party or a group, including threats and demands.
         b. Harassment will not be tolerated in any form.  If you feel you are being harassed please contact a moderator immediately so the issue may be resolved quickly.
   D. Trolling
         a. Trolling falls under the catergory of harassment.  While some members do not have a problem with trolling others are annoyed by it and consider it spam.

Article III. Profile
   A. Profile Pictures
         a. Please keep your profile pictures appropriate. (Please see Article V for more information)
   B. Signatures
         a. Please do not make exuberant signatures, these require bandwidth and can be a nuisance if they are ridiculously large.  
         b. Please avoid giant text.
         c. A simple template for a signature consists of your in-game name, server, guild, power, and current formation.  Other items can be added.

Article IV.  Warnings and Bans
   A. Warnings
         a. Warnings will be given out as necessary.
         b. After ‘x’ amount of warnings a ban will be issued
         c. Warnings do not hold the same value of severity.  This means, your first offense can result in a ban.  
   B. Bans
         a. Breaking the rules will result in a temporary ban.
         b. The length of a temporary ban will be determined by the severity of the case.
         c. After a Temporary Ban, further rule breaking can result in a permanent ban.
         d. A permanent ban is permanent.

Article V. Gallery Etiquette
   A. Public Gallery
         a. This gallery is to be used in accordance with the headings supplied.  Any other material will be treated as spam.
   B. Personal Gallery
         a. This gallery is for personal pictures, please keep it appropriate, though we cannot control what images are placed within.

Article VI. Contributions
   A. Contributions made to the forum will be used solely for upgrading the forum.
         a. This includes but is not limited to: Bandwidth, media storage, etc.

Article VII.  Contact Information
   A. _____________
         a. This e-mail is to be used for contacting the admin of the forum for questions and ban appeals.
   B. Both the admin and moderators usernames appear in red.  At the bottom of the user information box, there is a button with a figurehead and the letters MP.  This denotes Private Message, please use this to contact moderators and the admin within the forum.

Article VIII.  Amendments
   A. For amendments to this Rules and Guidelines, there must be a unanimous decision by the moderators and admin.
   B. Please contact the admin or moderators with any issues concerning this Rules and Guidelines

Article IX.  Review
   A. These rules and guidelines have been reviewed by all moderators and the admin.  Revisions have been made to best supply the members of the forum with the most accurate and easily understood rules.
   B. The original rules were created by Admin Clusterone and first revision by Moderator Koors.
