Awakening and Transfer

I personally have looked at all the tutorials and tried to read all the information out there, which on this subjects is quite limited.
I know from watching videos how to awaken a hero and transfer a hero. My question is, when transferring heroes, the hero on the left is the hero receiving and the right is the hero giving the exp/tier-up/etc but if the hero on the left is awakened (summoned with a S) and the right is not but is lvl 65, will the awakened hero keep the S or no?

Awakenings don't transfer, they stay with the heroes.

As Xaero stated, transferring heroes only transfers tier and level. S status and hero stone power ups do not transfer.
