Is it just me, or is Gerico II really OP for a 4*?

So I have a full team of 5*, exception being my starter. I was fighting some guy with a non awakened, but high tier, high level Gerico II. If you dont know who he is, he is a like maximus with lower stats. His def boost seems very decent for a 4* hero, since he had his boost on, and survived my nex's crit with the rage on top of it   
It seems he is an extraordinary tank for a 4* hero?

*on a side note, I still haven't pulled an eron from special summon. Like the guy a few posts down, I'm using rogas also... and they removed him from the courage shop... so a bit of consolation here    my rogas is doing kinda meh job tanking, is eron better at soaking up damage or anything?

On paper Gerico II has lower stats than Agrila in every field, so can't see why he'd be considered OP, ive never found him to useful enough to be part of my team throughout the game. Eron and rogas have the same defensive stats, so in theory rogas should be able to soak up more damage due to the heal, tho in utility I found Eron to be more useful, I personally think he benefits more from awakening, use mystery man if u got him from the event
